A world authority on combustion and acoustics, Dame Ann Dowling wears many hats.

Dame Ann is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cambridge, President of the Royal Academy of Engineering and most recently, joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director of Smiths.
