Smiths Interconnect releases new rotatable backshell design for M12 connectors

Smiths Interconnect introduces a rotatable backshell design for its M12 angled cable plugs offering customer configurable cable outlet directions, adjustable in 12 steps of 30° to a maximum angle of 330°.

This feature allows customers to optimise the cable routing within an application at the time of installation. Suitable for a wide range of cable diameters up to 10 mm, the series allows for a complete 360° of cable screen termination. Hypertac® hyperboloid contacts offer exceptional performance in terms of insertion force, mating cycles, shock, vibration and fretting corrosion resistance.
