Checkpoint.Evoplus increases passenger throughput and raises security levels by streamlining the security screening process.

Checkpoint.Evoplus from Smiths Detection has been successfully assessed and certified by STAC, the French civil aviation authority technical centre. Designed to increase passenger throughput, optimise resources, reduce operational costs and raise security levels, it is the first solution for multiplexed image analysis to receive this official approval for use at French airports.

“Achieving STAC approval is just one example of how this innovative platform is paving the way for checkpoint management software in Europe and around the world,” commented Tony Tielen, VP EMEA of Smiths Detection. “It has the potential to deliver the highest possible levels of security combined with significant operational advances – including networking groups of national or international airports.”

Streamlining security screening

An advanced screening and management platform for airports and security checkpoints, Checkpoint.Evoplus allows a collection of individual components and sensors to be transformed into a single, integrated and intelligent solution. Producing valuable operational data and supporting new functions such as centralised screening and directed search, it streamlines the overall screening process.

The system makes it easy to monitor key performance indicators and share information via a central dashboard which can also be accessed from mobile devices. Networked images can be collected from all security lanes and delivered to operators based in a quiet location away from the busy checkpoint. Suspicious areas are marked and classified on the images so staff know exactly where to focus secondary inspections.
