Smiths Group plc has announced that as a part of the restructuring of its Group headquarters the function of General Counsel and Company Secretary has ceased to be a Board appointment. Mr. David Lillycrop has therefore tendered his resignation as a director with immediate effect. Discussions are continuing with Mr Lillycrop in respect to an orderly transfer of his responsibilities ahead of his departure from his employment with the Group.
