Smiths Interconnect partnered with global suppliers to produce vital connectors for ventilators

While governments around the globe increasingly appeal for quick delivery of even more life-saving ventilators, Smiths Interconnect is hard at work producing the connectivity solutions needed to ensure this urgent need is addressed.
Currently the teams in Asia, the Americas and Europe are supporting programmes to deliver connectors for ventilator production. These programmes include:
- KNB Series – a board-to-board connector with Hypertac® hyperboloid technology utilised within a French-made portable ventilator found in ambulances, ambulatory helicopters and hospitals.
- D Series – a push-pull, hyperboloid circular connector used to provide power to a US developed; Asia manufactured ventilator system.
- Spring Probe Interposers – board-to-board connectors with spring probe contacts used for mating with replaceable battery packs in a UK developed breathing system.
