Luis Ospina

Luis Ospina, Regional Sales Manager, GeoMarkets, in Colombia has had a variety of roles at John Crane over the last 28 years. In his current role, he is responsible for sales, engineering and operations, as well as working with his sales team on strategic planning for new business opportunities and managing customer relationships.

“My favorite part of my role is closing on new business and helping my team to grow and surpass our objectives and goals,” Luis said. “It’s great to see my team providing excellent customer service and receiving recognition from customers.”

Luis is the recipient of one of our Smiths Excellence Awards for Leadership, recognising managers who have proven to be inclusive and committed to diversity, values-driven, inspiring and motivating and who have gone above and beyond to support and encourage their team.

Luis has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, as well as an MBA from Sergio Arboleda University. He also has two post-graduate degrees in commercial management and strategic management from the University of La Sabana.

In his free time, Luis enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons.
